2-day Virtual Mini-Camp!

Some high school students from Alameda High put together a mini-camp on February 15-16 to provide fun enrichment for over 25 of our Impact students. You may be thinking, how fun can it be to learn math, science and English? When you use the movie Big Hero Six to teach advanced words, pizza cut-outs to teach fractions, and short dance breaks to provide exercise, it can be VERY fun! The K-3rd graders even got to create their own balloon floating house (just like in the movie "Up")!

The 4th-5th graders learned about circuits with their very own circuit kits delivered by the Impact teachers. And some of the K-1st graders who were part of the camp wanted to sign up for our additional “Leading in Reading” program, which is an amazing opportunity, not only to strengthen their literacy skills, but also to continue their relationships with the teachers they met here!
